Get To Know Our Team
At Innovaire Primary Health, we are committed to transforming patient care through innovative, integrative medicine. Our team of healthcare professionals focuses on combining modern medical practices with holistic wellness approaches to provide personalized, comprehensive care. We believe in addressing the whole person and ensuring each patient receives the care and attention they need to achieve optimal health.
Our approach integrates the best of conventional medicine with complementary therapies, providing cutting-edge treatments and preventive care to support long-term well-being. We are dedicated to offering solutions that are tailored to each individual, promoting healing and wellness from within.
I opened Innovaire Primary Health with a vision to change the way healthcare is experienced—making it more patient-centered, innovative, and holistic. I wanted to create a place where people in our community could find personalized care that goes beyond the quick fixes, focusing on long-term solutions for overall wellness. Innovaire is designed to serve individuals and families who seek a more integrative approach to their health. We offer not just treatment for symptoms, but a deeper dive into what creates lasting health and well-being. By spending time with each patient and truly listening to their story, we work together to create a care plan that addresses their needs from all angles—physical, mental, and emotional.

Angela Hedges
DNP, FNP-BC
At Innovaire Primary Health, my goal is to provide compassionate, patient-focused care that truly makes a difference. I’m Angela Hedges, and with over two decades of experience in nursing—spanning from critical care nursing and emergency and flight nursing to clinical instruction and beyond—I’ve had the privilege of helping people in so many ways. My journey in healthcare, combined with my education has led me to create Innovaire, where we focus on long-term solutions that honor each patient’s unique story. I received my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Clarke University.
Family is at the heart of everything I do. My husband Dave, and children Timothy, Alexander, and Annabelle bring so much joy to my life. I love watching my children grow up in this wonderful community, whether I’m cheering them on at sporting events or supporting Annabelle in dance and modeling. Traveling is also a huge passion of mine; I find so much inspiration in exploring new cultures and bringing that perspective back into my life and work.
Beyond healthcare, I am an entrepreneur at heart, with a deep-rooted passion for creating spaces that add meaningful value to the communities I cherish. Marrying into a farm family has deepened my appreciation for the importance of farming and self-sustainability; it’s central to who I am and what I hope to cultivate around me. I’m also deeply invested in mission work, which has given me opportunities to contribute globally and locally in ways that strengthen communities. My love for gardening and raising bees further keeps me connected to nature, teaching me the art of patience and reminding me to slow down amidst life’s many endeavors.
I’m incredibly grateful for the unwavering support of my amazing friends and this incredible community in all of my endeavors. Innovaire reflects that deep gratitude, as it’s not just about healthcare but about creating a space where people feel valued, understood, and cared for. I believe in taking the time to truly listen to each patient and working together to find solutions that bring about lasting, positive change. I’m excited to continue this journey, serving the community that has given me so much.
Andrew Monroe
ARNP, FNP-C
I began my healthcare journey in 2008 at Southeastern Community College, enrolling in the paramedic program while working in the Emergency Room at Great River Medical Center. In 2010, a work-related back injury changed the course of my career. Determined to stay in healthcare, I pivoted to nursing, enrolling in SCC’s Nursing Program later that year. I graduated with my RN in 2013 and began my career in psychiatry with Fort Madison Physicians and Clinics. Seeking a broader clinical experience, I transitioned to the Operating Room at Fort Madison Community Hospital and later to Great River Medical Center’s Cath Lab and OR. During this time, I completed my BSN through the University of Texas in 2017 and stepped into the role of Clinical Nurse Educator of Surgery.
Although I gained valuable experience in education and leadership, I realized my true passion was direct patient care. I enrolled in Chamberlain University’s Family Nurse Practitioner program and graduated in 2021. While pursuing my degree, I began working with Dr. Kantzavelos in Urology, where I developed a strong interest in men’s health, urology, and integrative medicine.
Today, I specialize in family medicine, integrative and preventative care, hormone replacement therapy, performance medicine and weight loss. My goal is to empower patients with knowledge about their health so they can make informed decisions and achieve lasting, meaningful improvements in quality of life. I take pride in offering a patient-centered approach that blends evidence-based practices with innovative and natural treatment options.
Originally from Fort Madison and now living in Burlington, I’m a proud parent of two—Kora (8) and Cole (4). Outside of work, I enjoy listening to health podcasts, exercising, traveling, spending time outdoors, and working on carpentry projects.
